May Madness!
Monday, April 30, 2012 at 6:55AM - Our 2nd Annual CFNFC Field Day was on the 5th. Events included:
Potato sack races
Dizzy bat
Wheelbarrow races
3-legged race
Water balloon toss
BYOB, BYOMeat!
It was pretty awesome if you missed it. There's always next year! Meat, adult beverages, lovely ladies, more meat. That's how we roll at CFNFC!
- CFNFC Spartan Challenge is still going strong. We're on a brief hiatus this week for Field Day, but will be back in attack mode next Saturday. Currently Nick W. leads the guys, while Stephanie leads the women. You don't have to have participated in all the events to come have a good time and get your butt handed to you with tough workouts! Those Championship belts are sweet!
- Bolder Boulder is coming up. Remember, wear your shirt. If you run it and see me there or have photographic evidence of running it (in your shirt), I'll give you $10 back for your registration. Go rep the gym!
- Congratulations to former CFNFC Athlete Jon Pink for his performance in the CF Games Open and at the Regionals. He went from 199th with only 726 participants, to 62nd (two spots out of Individual Regionals) out of over 1700 participants. His hard work and dedication has been apparent over the years and we're proud to call him one of ours!
- Some folks are heading out for vacations and travel during the summer. Be sure to grab a copy of our travel WODs so you can stay in tip top shape for when you get back. No slack! If you go somewhere, be sure to bring your CFNFC Shirt (or socks!) and wear them somewhere cool and send a pic!
- For those of you sticking around, we'll have a bunch of in-house seminars and clinics: Olympic lifting, Biomechanics for Athletes, Running and Swimming.
We'll start to have outdoor workouts at City Park and Edora, as well as another Scavenger Hunt and some Old Town workouts. - Phantom Half-Ironman is still in the planning stages. Stay Tuned.
